Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

GeoKantar ("we", "us", "app") is a mobile application for geodetic calculations and coordinate transformations, available on iOS and Android platforms. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

By using the GeoKantar app, you accept the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data we collect

a) Account data

If you create a user account, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (encrypted – we never store it in plain text)

b) Location data

The app may request access to your device's location to enable:

• Displaying your current position on the map
• Infrastructure mapping in the Installations module

Location access is optional and you may decline it. Location data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers unless you explicitly synchronise your projects.

c) Project and measurement data

All geodetic calculations, coordinate transformations, levelling data, and installation projects are stored primarily in a local database on your device (SQLite). Data can be synchronised with a cloud server only if you are logged in and explicitly trigger synchronisation.

d) Subscription data

If you subscribe to a premium plan, payment processing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your credit card details or any other payment information. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, which receives only anonymised identifiers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide app functionality (transformations, levelling, DXF conversion, installations)
• Authenticate you and manage your account
• Synchronise your projects across devices (optional)
• Manage subscriptions and access to premium features

We do NOT use your data for:

• Third-party advertising or marketing
• Selling or sharing with third parties
• User profiling or tracking

4. Data storage and protection

Local data is stored on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. Cloud data is stored on Supabase servers, which use encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

5. Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase – authentication and cloud data storage (supabase.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat – subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Mapbox – map rendering (mapbox.com/legal/privacy)
• Google Maps – map rendering (policies.google.com/privacy)

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Decline location access
• Use the app offline without creating an account
• Cancel your subscription at any time via the App Store or Google Play

7. Children

GeoKantar is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. You will be notified of any significant changes through the app or by email. We recommend checking this page periodically.
